Crowing
Has anyone tried building nesting boxes to be easily movable? I'm thinking it would be great for if a hen went broody. You could just pick up the whole box and put her somewhere safe and away from the others.

I like that box and ramp. Such a sensible arrangement.I just have floor nest to use if I want a broody to set.
I move her to the broody enclosure after I'm sure she's broody,
but before giving her fresh fertile eggs.

OK, now I see a potential in that. Instead of making the nest boxes separate, make the partitions removable, add a removable front and your triple nest boxe become a convertible nastbox/brooding bin.Mine's technically removable, as the main body is not attached to the coop. The lid is hinged and screwed to the coop wall, and since it sits at a 45 degree angle it holds the boxes in place. But if you were to attach the lid to the nest box instead then yes the entire thing could be moved. Though if I were planning to do something like that, I would make each box a separate unit.
