Remove coop bedding?

I don't know about her but, for the soon to be other layers, I would put golf balls in the other nest boxes. They may just think she is a crazy hen, and actually use the nest boxes.

Thanks for the replies. She tends to lay right next to the pop door in a corner of the coop. It is the same material as the nest boxes. I use koop clean. I think she might like it because she can see out into the run and watch everybody. I do not have a bar outside of the nest boxes, so I might try adding one so that she can see in first. If that fails, I think I will try removing the bedding on the floor and keep the nest boxes filled so that she might try one out. I don't mind the clean up as long as I can eventually get her to go to the boxes. I have only had these hens for about three weeks and to my knowledge she has never even explored the nest boxes. I have two hens (low on the pecking order) that sleep in the nest boxes. I will probably add another roost to see if they will go on that and stop pooping all over the nest boxes. This is my first experience with chickens so I guess there will be some trial and error.
