I bought 6 baby chicks about a month ago. It turned out three were roosters. I re-homed the boys and now the hens won't come out of their coop into their run. The boys always led the way. Do I/should I do anything? Just let them take their time readjusting? Just curious. Their coop is roomy, so it's not too big of a deal. I just feel kinda bad for them, like their protectors are gone and the girls are thrown off. They are 8 weeks old.

Thanks in advance. New to the chicken world... sorry if this is a silly question.

If they were coming out before they will again without the cockerels leading them. Its just a matter of deciding who takes the lead, and that can take some time.
