Hello. This is my first time hatching eggs. I have an egg that has pipped externally and died. I think the membrane dried up. Should I quickly remove the egg from the incubator or leave it? I have a hatched chick that keeps bumping into that egg. Also, is it okay if the chick rolls the other eggs that have pipped externally?

I would suggest just moving the egg out of the way.
opening up the incubator for those few seconds will not effect the other ones.
I have always heard different opinions on what to do if the chick is bumping the other eggs but personally I leave them in there and have never had an issue. Good luck!!

If there are no other eggs that have piped, quickly remove it and let the humidity get back up. You should be fine.
The other chick playing soccer with the other eggs won't hurt anything, it bothers us worse than the chicks in the eggs. :D

Are you sure it died? I only ask because they will often take long breaks after pipping before trying to unzip.
Otherwise, yes you can quickly removed it or leave it a bit longer if they're actively hatching. If you see other external pips I would wait to open the incubator until they are finished.
