Removing concrete pad

previous owner had a 12x20 concrete pad where I want to place my coop. I busted up the concrete using sledge hammer and removed best I could. Was wondering if anyone had issues with broken concrete in run? Some those pieces can be sharp. I plan on trying to get most of it out but doubt I will ever get all of it.

Welcome! That concrete pad would have been a super base for your coop, so sorry it's gone!

See I do disagree I love having no floor in main coop all large birds.. Now my silkie coop there is 4 I protect they have a floor but their tractor has no floor they get wood ash both to do dust bathes in my grow out coop there is no floor it is attached by communal run to the main coop

I like a dirt floor too, but a ready made predator barrier would have been wonderful instead!

did not want the concrete floor, prefer dirt underneath the coop so it can be part of the run. my previous coop, https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/completed-our-amish-style-coop.385281/, is basically what I am building at our new place but with A-frame roof instead. Only going to do 2 nest boxes on this one.

Any remaining concrete should be fine since it's inert. The birds may eat some as grit but it shouldn't harm them as long as they don't gorge on it.

Should be fine. The concrete pad is nice to keep predators out, and it is super easy to clean.
