Removing dried membrane from duckling

My duckling is hatched but it has quite a bit of dried membrane stuck to it and don’t know how to take it off without hurting it I need help!!!!

I've done this with chicks a few times, but I imagine it would be the same with ducklings. Use a wet paper towel (wet in warm water) to rehydrate the membrane and gently rub it off. If it's too stuck to rub off this way, you can hold the duckling under running warm water and keep gently rubbing until the membrane peels off. Then dry the baby with a hair dryer set to warm (not hot) until it fluffs up.
