Hi! So, my RIR Penny had this huge wound on her side. I read about how to heal it and I read that I can put pine tar on the wound so that the other chickens wont peck her. It worked! Her wound is healing very nicely. But, my husband accidentally put much to much on her and it was all over her feathers. Because it tastes so bad she can't clean her feathers. We also live in a place where it gets very cold in the winter and I don't want her to get cold or sick. Does any one know how I can get the pine tar off my chickens feathers?
