Repairing an old mini-fridge style incubator?

I have one of those mini fridge style incubators intended for reptile eggs, but I've had good hatches out of it for poultry. Recently it can't keep its temperature steady at all, and it refuses to get warm enough to even feel warm--it's cool whenever I put my hand in.

How would you guys go about fixing an issue like this? I know it's hard to give specific advice with all the different kinds of incubators out there, but general advice would be appreciated.

I'd get a reptile heating cable and a thermostat. Run the heating cable around the incubator, hook it up to the thermostat and run the heater ontop of the incubator or if the incubator doesn't even have a fan just leave the incubator unplugged.
