The other day I noticed a few of the plastic verticals in one section of my electric poultry netting are broken. When I got the netting it came with a repair kit that includes a bulk piece of that plastic. But after much searching on Kencove's site and the rest of the internet, I can't seem to find how to repair the vertical pieces. Does anyone know? Do I replace an entire vertical, from the top line all the way to the bottom? Or do I replace just the broken section (between electric lines)? OR do I use the repair piece over top the broken piece. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want anything coming in or out of the fence. Thanks.

    Welcome to BYC!

Can you post a pic of the broken part?
    Have you contacted Kencove?

I did contact them, they said the only way would be to tie the plastic together. I didn't know if anyone else had found a better way. I try to "weld" the plastic together by melting the ends and joining them but it didn't seem to work. I will provide pics tonight when I get home.

Do only the horizontals carry the metal charge wire?

I don't have any of this stuff, yet, but am curious.

Yes, the electric is braided with nylon and run horizontal, and plastic cord runs vertically to help keep the sections more rigid. But when the plastic is broken that section wants to droop more.

Might be easier and more effective to replace the entire vertical, tying knots around the horizontal?
    No fun, either way.

    How'd they break?
