Replace PDZ on the poop board?

Hi Everyone,
I use Sweet PDZ in the poop board in my coop. Over time the PDZ has gotten low so I picked up a new bag. Do people take all the old PDZ or just add more to the existing?

So far I have not done a complete change on mine, I just add more PDZ. It's been in there all summer. If it gets smelly, then I will scoop it all out and change it.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking but the guy at the store said I should take out all the old stuff. Thanks.

I will just make a wild guess and say he probably sell PDZ
