Replacement Rooster

I do recommend drinking a bottle of homemade wine with your friends, everyone trying to shush each other to sneak into their chicken coop to stealthily swoop a sleeping rooster into a cat carrier. Mind you age range 50-67. We had it together at the right moment, albeit giggles, and he is snoozing peacefully listening to Joan Jett.

Sleeping like a baby.

The rooster checked out the coop, then swiftly mounted the first hen he came to Banana, our Leghorn. While she was staggering looking dazed he sauntered through all the girls right up to the head hen. He poofed up towering over her, then turned and walked off, and everyone followed.

The rooster they've all been waiting for. :D

A new twist. Our new rooster hung out all day, escorted the ladies to the coop at bedtime(which he was in and out of all day) but he didn't go in. Instead he went into the thickest part of the woods. So now we are looking for him with flashlights.
