Can i brood my chicks in the coop? Like in a brooder of course with a heatlamp and separate from the other 2 full grown chickens.. or is this a bad idea?? Im just worried about the fumes/dust for the chicks.. and the heat for the other 2 i have.. my coop is pretty large (enough room for 15 give or take)

You can brood them anywhere they are safe and warm. We brooded in the coop when we had a large coop. Just remember if there's any way for a chick to get out with the larger birds they will likely kill it.

There is NO way.. they are seperated by a wall of wire and they are in a nicely built wooden brooder.. no escaping! lol
