Reprogramming Hovabator Genesis 1588

chickmag- if you go up to "Learning Center" you will find the humidy and temp guides. I am sure L.C meant good.

We're first time hatchers and purchased a 1588 after all the great reviews here. However, the temp is holding too high at 102. I tried lowering the temp and now we're at 82. Can someone help us figure out how to bring the temp to the desired 99.5 from the factory settings, if it's currently at 102? I'm pulling at strings here to get this to work. I purchased this, thinking it was just plug and incubate. I think the 1588 would do great, if I can just get it to hold the right temp.

There are two models of the 1588, an old model with manual adjustments and a new digital model. The new digital model appears to be pretty straight forward and easy to adjust the temps, so I assuming you have the old model and can't understand the manual which is totally Vague about how to make adjustments.

If you have the old model 1588, there are 8 little tiny switches on the underneath side of the lid. They are recessed up inside the motor so you might need a tooth pick or something to make adjustments to them. The 1588 come pre-set with switch number 4 in the on position. If you want your temperature to go up, toggle switch number 4 off and switch number 5 on. If you want them to go down, toggle 4 off and 3 on. I assume that each switch represents one degrees in temperature difference, but there is no way to really know. Hope this helps.
