3 days after we set out Nuture Right 360 and began the incubation, we had a brief, momentary power outage. The outage only made the lights flicker in the house. It did not cause our whole house generator to turn on. However, we did hear the incubator beep. When I checked it the turner was still operating and the temp and humidity gauge read correctly with the light blinking. I assumed all was well. Unfortunately, I did not check the Days.

When we began the process I set my phone calendar to the lock down day.. Today should be the day for lockdown. However, the incubator is saying there are still five days to hatch . I have a sneaky suspicion that when the outage happened, the timer reset to 21 days. The outage did happen 2 days into the cycle.

Should I assume my calendar date is right, and begin manually to lockdown? I don't want to loose all my peeps.

Yes, trust your calendar. But even so, a couple of days early wouldn't make any difference.

Thank you. We have never done this before. We just candled them and have no idea what we're looking at. We felt two eggs didn't look like the rest and were probably duds. So we set them aside. Hubby opened them, and sure enough, they were duds. The embryos had started but were turned to almost liquid with little distinguishing features. Hopefully, we didn't leave any duds in there that could explode! The shells are all strong with no visible signs of cracks.
