A lot of people had said the same about those fish. I’m not sure why they still recommended them after they just die. I’ll be sure to ask questions on there.

Can you remember what the names of the fish were.

I think the actual name of them was Siamese algea eater.

It was a tropical tank. It was going to be a betta sorority tank, but unfortunately I lost most of the bettas due to shipping. I believe I ended up with 2. They lived for a while until I got sick of the little algea eaters dying and gave them to a friend. For some reason, that ruined me from ever wanting to keep female bettas again. Next time I think I’d like to keep guppies.

I know fish aren’t reptiles but can someone please tell me how to PROPERLY set up a tank with live plants? And so on...

You need the proper substrate, the right light, depending on the plants you choose, possibly Co2.
