I’ve come to realize that no matter how hard I try, Tango will never be tame. I was making progress until after he shedded (the shed means nothing it was just a reference of time lol). He will hold his tail up and wiggle it in a hypnotic manner and huff at me. It doesn’t scare me, but it sure let’s me know I’ve made no progress!! I’ll love him regardless but it would be nice if he was tame like Mango!

I wonder if it could be because he’s a young male? You know how cockerel can be...maybe it’s hormones? Just a guess, lol.

Tail lashing usually means the gecko is scared. Maybe we can try to help? (Only if you want us to though). Perhaps you could tell us what your your usual interactions are like? Do you try to handle him during the day or only in the evenings? How do you pick him up when you do (grap, scoop, etc). Is his tank top opening or front opening?

Well I usually hand feed him as much as possible (he will only eat worms from me, but hunts crickets). I normally handle him in the afternoon or early mornings, because I have some time on my hands then. I try to lift the shirt (he stopped using hides since I put the T-shirt in there, but the hides are in there if he was to want to go in one), and then gently scoop my hand under his body. He’ll sit in my palm for about 10 seconds and then he starts trying to dart away. After attempting to calm him down, he will crawl on me trying to find an "escape", and then he’ll get around my chest area, stare and huff at me while wiggling his tail in a not-so-sweet manner.
