Reptile Hovabator

Yes, you can hatch chicken eggs in almost anything that will hold a constant temperture. If you read some of the past poss, you will see that chicken eggs have been hatched in everything from a bra to an electric frying pan. Not sucessful every time, but it can be done. With the incubator you stand a good chance of success. On most bators the dircertion will state what you can hatch in them.

They are identical to the ones called "chicken incubators". The only difference would be if it came with a pre-set temperature, as reptiles hatch at a different temp than chickens. Even if this were the case, the temp can be adjusted to where you want it.

yay!!!!!!!! cuz i found a good deal on one!

I have four different styro incubators and I have to say my FAV one is technically a reptile one! I found a super good deal on ebay and snatched it up last year! the entire top is clear so I use it to hatch everything out. Only difference I noticed is the overall headspace (space from wire grating to where the heating element is) inside seems a bitter lower than the other models. I have not had any problems and I've hatched both large and bantam chicks, quail and am currently hatching game birds and pheasants.

Good luck and happy hatching!
