Reptipro 5000 Hatch-A-Long (=

Well, I gave up on my Reptipro 500 and purchased a R-COM RCOM KING SURO20 EGG INCUBATOR AUTOMATIC TURNER BRAND . I put 13 Black Cochin and 11 Barred Rock eggs that I purchased off of EBAY in the new incubator. 10 of the Black Cochins hatched and 8 of the Barred Rocks hatched. I used the Reptipro as a hatching station and temporary brooder on the hatch days. I am sold on the SURO20 and not so much on the Reptipro!

Yep...I'm doing better already with a hovabator. Sold my 6000 to someone locally that wanted it for quail eggs....hope they have better luck with it.

I have 4 of my turkey eggs hatched out already ... a few more to go and they all have pips...

no idea why some people have issues with the Reptipro.. i love mine and have had 0 problems hatching out in it

more turkey eggs hatching today from my staggered hatch.. I absolutely love this bator!.. every single egg has either hatched out so far or has a pip... lol.. gotta love a 100% hatch rate!

I have 2 EE's in lockdown (part of a test hatch, the turkeys are still cooking) I will try giving the chicks to one of the broodys since there is only 2 due out this week.

I will be adding more to the description as well as making a product video for the unit sometime in the near future. We will also start running a poll on the site to take votes on product / instructional videos that we will produce so keep an eye out for that. Hopefully we can create a vast video library covering all aspects of incubation and chick rearing.

I cannot wait to see those emu eggs hatch. Still a ways off I guess. Be sure to take some pics!

Can extra shelves be ordered for this unit?

Ok. Here I am at day 17 with my Reptipro 6000. This is my first hatch and it has been dry so far. Going to remove turners tonight and place in shelf with liner and fill in gap. Humidity has been 27%. Should I just place a wet sponge in for lockdown and see where that gets me? I have read all the posts and am just trying to get a decent hatch. I only have nine bantam eggs in there. Thanks for all of the great advice!

when i first saw this title, i didn't even read it, cuz it sounded like someone was trying to hatch IGUANAS or something!!!

I must check this reptipro thing out. But i observe that even with this bator some do not have great hatches.

All bators are part good and part garbage, it seems. Unless yours cost 50,000.00 maybe................
