I was pleased about Herman Cain's showing in the straw poll yesterday.
SMART man that has served no time in political office-could be a very refreshing change!

This is exactly what I've been saying here lately. We have so many people working in Washington being paid ungodly amounts for what they do plus the ungodly amounts they get when their terms are over! I think that all of these jobs should be volunteer services and that would eliminate a lot of the corrupt, money seeking liars out there. If the only thing these people are working for is the welfare of our country, I think we'd have a lot more success.

Is this ever going to really happen? No. Because the people who make these decisions are the ones getting paid and deciding their own raises and perks. Sure would save our country a TON of money though!

For those of you who think public service should be short term...Rick Perry has been in Public office for close to 30 years, being first elected in 1984.

I just read that Chris Christie is possibly reconsidering... Now if he enters the race that changes EVERYTHING lol. Christie/Palin '12

Christie isn't conservative enough in my opinion, we don't need more candidates, we have two good candidates, who can win: Herman Cain, and Ron Paul. I'm supporting Cain at the moment, but I'll see how he does.

I have been a CAIN supporter from the beginning. Romney and Perry are politicians thru and thru, and politicians are what has gotten this country in the mess it's in. In the beginning, I liked Perry more than Romney (Romney seems like a Ken Doll politician), but after watching the debates, I think Perry comes off as a smug jerk. His bad attitude and his support of the Dream Act nixed any chance he has of getting my vote. I like most of what Ron Paul says, but he just doesn't come off as "presidential", which does matter. Neither does Gary Johnson or John Huntsman. Doesn't matter what they stand for, they both give off the "creepy" vibe to me. Michelle Bauchmann just needs to drop out. Newt has good ideas and LOTS of experience, but he is disliked by way too many on both sides and doesn't have a chance of beating Obama in the General election. Rick Santorum presents himself well, but he just doesn't seem to stand out.

I think our best bet for beating Obama is HERMAN CAIN. I am soooo glad he is finally staring to get noticed. What a shock to the media that he won the Florida straw poll. The have been focused on Perry and Romney as the "ONLY" candidates running, everybody else was just there for entertainment. I am tired of the media determining the outcome of elections, and from what I am reading, I am not alone. If you are on the Cain bandwagon, check out his website http://teamcain.hermancain.com/an/landing let's get the word out!

Stickied at the top of this section.

everyone here was fine until you decided to throw the turn in the punchbowl. There is nothing about this that is not "family friendly". Whats next, are you going to say that government should be taken out of schools?

If this post was in a specific chicken related section then fine.... move it... but if its under the Random Ramblings then let it go.
