I've just looked them both up and yes, he looks like he could be a cross between those two. Thank you!
His lack of comb has thrown me...he looks odd without one! I guess I'll get used to it!

Its kind of a blurry pic, but does he have a rose comb or a pea comb? He does have a big comb, but not the big single comb your probably used to seeing on generic pictures of chickens.
There's a number of things he could be mixed with, depending on his colors (he appears black and white, but could be dark brown?) and his comb. Can you get a really clear pic in natural sunlight?

edited to add: Looking at the pic again, I'm in the speckled Sussex crossed with either easter egger or ameraucana camp. He's got whitish legs, which lends to the SS, along with the colors, and he's got muffs and a beard; which means he probably has a pea comb.

In my opinion, he’s too lightly built for a speckled Sussex or SS mix. I’m going to say he’s a pure-bred Russian Orloff Cockerel.

He looks like a Black Mottled Orloff to me. Can we get some more background story on him please? If he is indeed a Black Mottled Orloff he is a rare find. He has excellent quality judging from just this one pic. Aside from the white tail feathers he is very nice.
