It had for me, but that's why I wanted a clearer pic. The legs look white to me... But maybe I can't tell with the lighting. I thought orloffs had yellow legs?

Could be a Speckled Sussex and Orloff mix.

Something in the recesses of my old mind screamed 'Orloff'. Better pictures would help better breed guesses - he is a striking bird.

Sourland you aren't that old, you are still a spring rooster. I think Orloff too but, what do I know?

If he is a cross, it's likely a multi-gen mix, bevause the mottling gene (which gives the white speckles) is recessive and needs two copies to express. So Russian Orloff seems possible as the mottling is more likely to appear in a purebred, otherwise I'd guess he's a multi-gen mix breed between Araucana(Australian)/Ameraucana and Exchequer Leghorn.

Looks a lot like the birds I'm trying to breed - currently hatching out some Araucana (Australian)/Speckled Sussex (who will just be plain Coronation patterns given they'll only have one mottling gene) who I plan on crossing to Exchequer Leghorn to get speckled blue layers.
