Congrats!! maybe go get another female now that you know how to tell them apart by their quack. Having 2 females will be a lot easier on the girls than just 1. Drakes are not gentle in their love making.

I will when I can find one. This lady only had one female. The rest had curly tail feathers and bright shiny heads. If anyone hears of a duck in need of a home in northern CA let me know

That's as loud as a male gets, thankfully... I hope they settle down fairly quickly for you... and do be aware, most of the aggressive actions right now are strictly fear based... just keep calm as possible and as much quiet as you can do for them... it should pass, but if their fear is fed, it *could* escalate into all out attack aggression, just fyi...

Yeah I have dealt with angry roosters before. Ducks don’t scare me. They dont have spurs and their beaks are nice and round. I feel bad for him. What are some favorite treats? Food usually wins over anyone, animals and people alike
