My Roos like to crow too. I like the quacks my Runners an Buff make. My Muscovy are just so sweet when they trill. My drake like to huff talk to me

She can lay but she can’t reproduce. Not sure how good egg laying is with them either. I like the idea of natural birth control.

Thank you @Miss Lydia on my 2 Aylesbury Pekin Ducks I rescued when they was 5 weeks old now they are 6-7 months old I named them Lola and Lucy but the one Lucy got a curled tail feather like a Drake sex feather but hasn't been breeding anyone and also getting a long with my other Drake Ben no fighting,S just curious do females get a curled sex feather sometimes? I read sometimes they do. Just curious

It can happen but I think it's pretty rare. I have an EE hen who crows she is 8 yrs old and probably hormones have to do with it or lack there of. With young ones could mean an injury to an ovary but that's probably pretty rare too. Maybe you just either have a very laid back drake or He just hasn't developed sexually yet. I have a young Runner drake who has had his drake feather for about a month now and isn't mating yet.

It's sad how often this actually happens. I'm just glad there are kind people who take them in. I want to buy several acres of land and have a sanctuary for animals that have been mistreated.
