Rescued Duck! Need advice please!!

Thank you Miss Lydia
I'm learning a lot about ducks! I'm hoping that it is just that new feathers are heavy..dies that happen most the time? How long does it take to get to normal? Will the sheaves enclosing each feather just fall away?

Does anyone else think that looks a bit like angelwing? I am certainly no duck expert. But my birds didn't feather in like that.

I don't know why I didn't enlarge this pics but yes that is angel wing. I'm sorry charmin you'll need to do some wrapping and maybe able to get it under control since the feathers are still growing. needs to be done asap.

Thank you Rowsdower.

They say it's caused by too much protein and others say genetic, But if caught early while feathers are still growing in it can sometimes be corrected. even if it didn't correct itself with wrapping it is not the least harmful to the duck but can get caught on things like fencing. so trimming is sometimes done.
I feel so bad I didn't enlarge my eye sight isn't so good anymore.

Thank you all. I'm at the vets now. I guess is she is wrapped she'll need to come in the house because it's 115-120f outside
Well admit it you always wanted a house duck

That is awesome you have a vet willing to see a duck and actually wrap her for you. Let us know how she is doing.

and what all the vet had to say.
