Ohkay - seriously how many females do I need not to see bald heads?!
Isabella's is the worst atm hers looks like it's scratched.
She's his favorite, though speedy is his main girl - she's more for comfort I think and that they grew up together. Isabella is a 'knows how to treat her man' kinda girl - she loves on him and cuddles him when he wants cuddles. Speedy is kinda momma only cuddle girl... Donella is a momma - she wants babies to take care of...

lol love your descriptions of the girls. Look at him looks like the king!!
Their claws are so sharp too. But about the only thing you could do is make tiny lil helmets for them. He has to hold onto those feathers to mate. I usually see a little skin on mine by the time breeding season is in full swing but never have I seen broken skin. You might try some pick no more for top of head it is suppose to taste nasty.

I wonder if i can use aloe from a plant - i know that stuff tastes nasth, plus it'll help heal their heads. Tiny helmets?! Show me!

Try it not sure it would taste as bad as the pick no more but if you have some try it.

Ohkay, I'm confused. Isabella went from second favorite to being picked on and bullied again. I think she took a break from laying and I think speedy started again. They've never picked on Donella like they do Isabella, speedy isn't being as mean though she just gets a lil jelly when Isabella runs to me for protection.
Donella kinda lightly interrupted when fancy started to chase Isabella into the sleeping boxes, he stopped and left off.
This whole flock dynamics is confusing me!

It is very hard to understand. Try having 2 broodies at once boy you should see them all when everyone goes in at night the chickens high tail it to the roosts and the 2 broodies chase each other and the non broody Muscovies all over the coop till they finally settle down. Whew 3 ring circus.
Just keep them from actually hurting Isabella. Bullying is normal stuff but injuries aren't.

So far only fancy is only one that seems to kinda hurt her, grabs a mouthful of wing feathers and shakes his head worrying them like a dog at a bone. I make him stop when i catch him.
I now have 3 laying though - i know speedy joined the laying group again because her eggs are smaller then the twins!
Speedy only pecked at her a little bit hard when isabella started biting me hard when i was holding her to protect her from fancy, was like a hey, no biting momma kinda peck - putting her in her place in line kinda thing.
But fancy... he's like isabella is my favorite when speedy not around, but when speedys up - isabella is bottom of line. But Donella is just like there and it's not like Isabella picks a fight or anything - it's like she's the scapegoat.
