Believe me, I know... it scared the poo out of me. I finally figured out how to work it out, I think because last night's bath was actually a very good one with no mishaps, I'm thankful to be able to say. I have this super thin fleece blanket that I threw over fancy when she would start to run, she just lays under it and I pick her up making sure none of her wings or feet are tangled or anything wrap her, talking to her softly, and help to get her head poking out. I usually carry both because of the bowling ball incident when speedy was following me to the bath. Anyhow, I had speedy following me again, only Liam (pug mix) listened this time when I told him to get to the room (my bedroom, he sleeps on the floor in there) and speedy came in the bathroom with me. I closed the dor and knelt down to put fancy on the floor and kinda laid down with them talking to her as I unwrapped her. She didn't go crazy and let me pet her neck and side of her face like I do speedy. I'm laying there trying to figure out how I'm gonna get them in the bath that I KNOW they love and see this small round white clothes basket I have, empty it, put fleece blanket in and coax speedy in, he sits but gets impatient with waiting for fancy, she fusses a bit but she goes into the basket on her own, and now it's speedy I gotta calm down lol. Btw basket was on its side, so I just picked it up, set it in the toilet lid and kinda scoot it towards the edge of the toilet so it rests on the bathtub edge. Both realized what was going on I guess, cause they started trying to drink out of the tub water then I finally got speedy to jump in and fancy was actually happy to join him cause she dived in and swam around under water which before only speedy would do that. It was awesome. They played and were happy. Then speedy was ready to get out, so basket empty I put it in the tub, tried to get speedy in and he was having none of that but fancy actually went in and I set it down was towering her off but speedy got jelly and banged on the tub with his bill, so I had to wrap her and get him out. But there was no falling, dropping, or crazy. We made it to the couch and finished drying off and went to sleep! Ohkay - that was long and detailed, sorry - I'm just happy it went so well.
