Rescued stray rooster. Breed?

I looked up Delaware rooster on Google and retired many picks with speckles around entire neck. The body seems fatter, but this rooster is a younger one according to an earlier answer. Also my son found it on the woods. Could be malnourished and skinny for its age?

I've been looking at different breeds though i thought that it could maybe be a coronation Sussex and it matches perfectly....except for the leg color

He can't be a Delaware he has speckles that wrap around his neck. My Delaware doesn't look like that. He is also shaped different and has shorter legs.
Those "speckles" that wrap around the neck are characteristic of Delawares as can be seen in the photo of the Delaware rooster below.

Colombian Wyandotte?
He's not a Columbian Wyandotte which have much heavier unbroken black bands around the neck and rose combs rather than single combs as in the picture below.

Well, I am enchanted no matter what he is. I am new to the chicken thing. I fear when it is time to finish the circle of life on my new hobby farm, it will end up very hard to make a chicken dinner as we planned :( right now I will just wait for my eggs in the fall.

Have you quarentined him? New birds should be quarentined before added to the flock, just incase they have any diseases.

One of the main characteristics of Delawares is they carry the barring gene. That's what causes the "speckles" you're talking about, those are actually barred feathers on a Colombian type pattern. The OP's bird clearly has barred feathers both fore and aft (neck and tail). That's what Delawares are supposed to have, per my understanding. Often hatchery birds don't have good barring, or much of it, that's what we refer to as hatchery quality. CCL7, if your birds don't have barring but instead have solid black markings, they're not Delawares but some other Colombian type bird. If straight combed and yellow legged, they're probably Colombian Rocks.
