Found this little critter hardly able to walk at the farm today
there were 3 babies a week ago, The farmer was just about to finish the little duckling
when I arrived today. But I have put it in the brooder box, but funny enough
I brought it into the computer room with me and let it set in a towel on my cell phone charging
and getting the radiant heat from the hard drive and monitor, it's happy as a lark...Look

We're sure on it being a Mallard or a Mallard /Anacona mix if there is such a duck
since that's all that is at the farm 3 female mallards 1 drake and 1 wild drake that has make the farm his home. and one male anacona that was actually raised with an older batch of bantams...lol
We're calling it Wilbur (Charlotte's Web reference since he was literally snatched from death)

Any help on sexing would be most appreciated, we'd like to know if we have a Wilbur or a Wilma

Anyway we re planning on venturing into Ducks next year with some Cayuga
We'll just have a little practice with ducks now
Have a Great Weekend
