Rescuing wild mallard ducklings

Hello,
There is a Mallard nesting on the third floor of my apartment building near Portland, Oregon. I know it is illegal to interfere with the nesting Mallard. She is very safe and secure in a planter box, where she nested the past two years. We were able to relocate the ducklings to a nearby pond. Long story. It was not easy and I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to corral a mallard with 12 newborn ducklings. The hatch date is projected for the week of April 21.

One idea is to go with a friend at night. Take a laundry basket and a small blanket.
