Use it to keep chickens out of the garden. Other than that, no. Raccoons eat that nonsense for breakfast.

Advice I got: you should add pool noodles to the coorigated roofing so you don't hit your head.

I waffle on this one . . . a friend told me I should get ducks since my yard gets wet/muddy but I heard drakes are very "rapey" so I opted for chickens instead. . . .

I haven't witnessed chickens or ducks mate . . .so IDK yet

They definitely can be. It's always safer to have a rooster around duck hens then a drake around chicken hens since they can kill chickens by mating

Ok, so I have "dumb" question . . .do ducks lay eggs without mating? I know several species of birds do . . just not sure which do and which don't.

No worries! Yep! Just like with chickens, you only need a male if you plan on hatching eggs

All female critters ovulate (produce eggs), whether there is a male present or not. If there is a male present, the eggs may be fertile and produce young.
