WE went to a Show Sunday in NY
We had fun.
I was thrilled with my Silkies results.
We did not take any Grays or Partridge, Between
them going Broody and Molting I decieded against them, I only have 5
adults in those colors I should not have let them go Broody.
We did take the rest of the reconized colors though.
White/ Black/ Blue/ Buff/ Splash.
There was 66 Bearded Silkies Shown.

My figures may not be 100% accurate but I tried to count good.

At least 70 Silkies were shown 4 of them were NON-BREADED.
Of the Bearded
******************************************************************************
7 - Breeders showed a total of 19 Whites - we won BEST OF BREED & BEST VARIETY and Reserve Champion Featherleg.
My Rooster Placed first and another Pullet also placed first. (Sheri Bishops hen took RB)
******************************************************************************

5 - Breeders showed 9 Blacks. My Hen and pullet took BV & RV

8 - Breeders Showed 10 Blues - My hen took BV, my pullet took RV and a Cockeral placed 1st

4 - Breeders showed 9 Buffs My Hen took BV my rooster took 1st
and my other hen took 2nd.

5 - Breeders entered 7 splash Mine did OK I think the cockerel was a bit young at 5 months, and placed 2nd,
my splash hen was a bit stained from free ranging and took 3rd. I am going to take pics of the cockerals feet to post.

I think
1 Breeder entered 2 Cuckoos (They were nice to see)
1 Breeder entered 2 Red
1 Breeder entered 5 Partridge
1 Breeder entered 6 Gray (I liked the looks of the Dark Roo)
