Reseves on auctions?

I don't even bother with reserve auctions. Just list the minimum price what you would list your reserve at.

Just "won" an auction with reserve not met, guess we'll see. I messaged the seller, think I may avoid these in the future...

I don't particularly like the auctions with "reserves" either, especially as the system has a bit of a glitch in it that is too confusing for me anyways; However, I do want to mention that the whole purpose of auctions is to create bidding frenzy: a bidder may be willing to start at 10$ , "thinking, 15$ max for me" and by the time the bidding passes 20$, "the just gotta have it" urge is roaring along . . . and the final bid is $25. You won. ANd had lots of fun.

My issue with this is when I placed a maximum bid over what the reserve price was (how do I know, I asked the seller after the auction was over) and since nobody else bid against me or up to the reserve price, I did not win the auction. I am now turned off by auctions that have reserve price not met and I will not bid on them. I am sorry Moderators if this reply isn't acceptable. Feel free to delete it if it violates the rules.

Well, the reserve was about $4.00 more than my max bid. Seller gave me an option to purchase, I declined. The asking price was fair, just more than I wanted to pay. Probably will avoid this in the future.
