Hey Rowena,
It sound like your chickens may have some sort of respiratory issue, but watery eyes and some sneezing probably can’t diagnose something specific yet. Then again, I’m not an expert, but we quarantined the sick chickens from the rest of the flock in a space with food, water, and boxes full of pine shavings as a makeshift nesting box. We also coated the ground with bedding to make things more comfortable.
To help the chickens’ respiratory Issues and overall sickness we have them the “Spa Treatment” (there’s plenty of articles on what that is), put an electrolyte packet in their water, and gave them basil, thyme, dill, and clover; herbs said to help the respiratory system.
I can’t recommend antibiotics as I don’t know exactly what’s wrong with your chicken, but if it’s anything similar to what mine have(see entire thread) then I recommend doxycycline, just MAKE SURE YOU GET THE DOSAGE CORRECT. Someone else in our family did the dosing, so I can’t offer any advice on that. You’ll have to read up on that.
It’s been two days since my hens were on antibiotics and they’re almost good as new!
I hope your baby feels better soon!
