respiratory or parasite problem??

Hi everyone - I am new at posting but have a sick chicken. Here are the symptoms:

The chicken is drinking water and is eating very little. She will walk around but mostly she is staying in one place. She is not laying eggs. She is opening her beak very wide and very frequently and it looks like she is trying to make a sound, but just a very light sound will come out. Almost like she is having trouble breathing or has a sore throat or something. She has been doing this for over 2 weeks now. I have isolated her from the other chickens. If she knows anything I would appreciate any advise.

Any ideas what is wrong and how to treat?

Is there any kind of odor from her throat? What do her poops look like?

*edited to add - The Chicken Health Handbook says canker is not common in that chickens. Maybe if you get a chance to answer those questions, someone might get a better idea.*
