My 4 month old Polish hen was walking weird, I noticed so I picked her up, to find out she has her mouth opening as if she was having a hard time breathing. Brought her in away from everyone, put some nutri drench in a little water, that’s when I noticed as she put her head down to try and drink it that she has clear liquid coming out her mouth. Please advise me on how to help her. She tried drinking it but is having a heck of a time. Now that she’s in she’s walking fine, her poop looks normal, crop is empty.

Is it hot outside? Chickens will pant to help cool off. That may be what is happening. Does she sound raspy when she breathes, or have any mucus or discharge from her eyes or nostrils? Check inside her mouth, for any growths or buildup. Is she eating ok?

No it’s actually quite rainy, she isn’t eating nor drinking as when she puts her head down liquid comes out of her mouth. You can definitely hear the liquid as she breathes it’s quite raspy.

That sounds like a respiratory infection of some kind. Tylosin is usually the to go to antibiotic for things like Mycoplasma, one of the most common respiratory viruses in chickens. Is a vet an option? Try to encourage her to eat with some soft foods, like scrambled egg, or wet her regular food.
