Don't feel bad having to lock her up. I have to do this too when one of my Muscovy just thinks it's so much fun to pick on her sister once the door is closed up for the night. Matter of fact she is so used to being locked up now that she will sleep in the crate with the door open. lol

They can sure try one's patience.

Thank you @Miss Lydia ! She was still crabby this morning, especially when she discovered that her nest was an empty of eggs, and a large log was in the middle of it, but she is currently fit to rejoin her sisters…for now…

I have a lead on a potential new member of “Team Rouen”. She’s a 5 year old girl who is currently “too chatty” for her current living situation. I’m working on getting more info! I didn’t want to rush into getting a new duck, but Matilda really does need someone on her side besides my pied Muscovy!

Matilda shall be getting a sister next Sunday. Her name is Remi, and she is 5 years old. Her current family is sad to lose her, but decided to part with her company as she is very loud and they live in a suburban area. Daphne had some lungs on her too, so I don’t think that my neighbors will notice a difference! Her mom said that she is a leader, which is what Matilda needs. She already is on the same diet we feed, and lives a similar lifestyle with a nighttime barn and a run for the day with foraging walks.

We have a week to make things welcoming for her. I don’t worry about her getting along with Matilda, but her introduction to the Muscovies will take some time.

So happy for you and Matilda. Hopefully, the scovy girls won't be too hard on her. Are you going to put Matila and Remi together where the scovy can get used to her but no picking?

Thank you! That is definitely the plan. If I need to keep Matilda and Remi separated too, we can do that also.
