Rest in Peace, Jerry Ford

Watching the last of the dewlaps just after arrival to our house.

been busy with winterizing. I got so far behind this summer. My oldest son and my brother have been helping. It's still has an unreal quality.

I bet it will feel unreal for a while yet. I'm grateful you have your animals and routine. They are good for the soul. It's definitely not too early to be winterizing. Can you believe we have had 2 snowstorms here in the past week? Ugh.

Did you gets news in Ireland about the freak snow storm in South Dakota that wiped out hundreds of cattle? That was horrific. However, the snow we are getting at my place is unfortunately quite normal.

Snow forecasted tonight just 130 miles north of me. I really hope it stays up there for at least one more week and lets me get the animals settled.

If not, then hopefully it will melt by the next afternoon like it has at our place. Farmer's almanac is predicting a good snow year for us, which is great for our reservoirs and ski resorts, but a drag to care for animals in.

Here in ireland we never have snowstorms or horrific /tropical weather of such but we do get a awful lot of rain and severe flooding
