Rest in Peace Snowball

Our dear Snowball peacefully flew into the clouds this morning, although it is heartbreaking to loose such a wonderful Silkie who always gave us a good laugh. For the past two days he somehow fell ill, and we knew we might loose him. Snowball will be missed dearly by our family and friends who got to know him since he was a pullet two years ago.
I am really heartbroken at this point.

I was looking forward to hatching chicks with the other silkies.

So sorry to hear about Snowball - he looks magnificent in the photo - I had a chick drown a few days ago and although that was sad to me it must be awful for you having had Snowball for two years - my thoughts are with you

Very sorry to hear of this. How long do Silkies live? Mine rarely made it past 4 years but that was over 25 years ago. He was a handsome one!
