Thank you/merci a tous. We both really, really miss her. She was a sweet, funny girl.

I'm getting DBF (who said this morning that he was more attached to that hen than any other pet he'd ever had) another BR. But then he tells me that he wants to pick the chick & its breed. Oops. Too late... the order is paid for. I'm going to wait & tell him on his b-day this weekend.

Aww...I am so sorry. I remember her, I loooove the picture of her on your boyfriends lap trying to steal his food. I have lost so many chickens in only a year of owning them and it still hurts as much as with the first one. I was warned though, that chickens die very easily. But I still can't stop myself from falling head over heals in love with the little things. I just try to remember that they had the best lives possible, and most of them are not that lucky. They all bring us joy and laughter and that is worth the risk to me
