Resuced duck with broken beak

I just checked on them & they are all fine, Olivia is still chasing him around when I go near the pen but she stops when I walk away :idunno, he was in the pool & Olivia & the ducklings were standing by the pool, the ducklings don't seem to be bothered by him, I'm hoping Olivia will get used to him soon.

Not sure if I made the right choice but earlier today I separated Olivia from the ducklings & BB ( the rescued duck ), she was continuing to chase BB around every time he got out of the kiddie pool. The ducklings have accepted BB, so I'm hoping that he will continue to heal from his beak injury without being tormented by Olivia.

There is no right or wrong decision: If you think it is better to keep BB with the ducklings and separate Olivia, this is the right decision! We can only try our best. Hope all the best for BB! :hugs:fl

I felt bad separating Olivia from her ducklings but I want BB to feel comfortable & safe in his in home, he has been threw enough in his young life!!
if they can see and hear each other, they will be fine. Helps the little ones to grow up faster too.

In my years as a vet tech I saw a duck w missing upper bill and the owner managed to craft a new bill tip with what looked like fiberglass/bondo type stuff (he was a car dude). Even formed it with dremel and colored it to match...could tell unless you were up close.
Can you get pictures of how the guy created the bill and what products he used. My husband is pretty good at fixing all kinds of stuff, but unless he can see how, I'm not sure if he can do it.
