I recently ended up with two 6-toed silkies (same number of digits on each foot). They're only 1 week old now but I was wondering if there would be any adverse effects if they bred with each other?

That's what I was thinking. I tried doing some research on it, did see a few people saying to avoid breeding two 6-toes together but never giving a reason whyShouldn't be any adverse effects, on the flip side you might be able to make some six toed silkies.
Probably because they don't fit the standardnever giving a reason why
Eh, I suppose originally I was curious if 2 six-toed parents would encourage more toe mutations and if that might have drawbacks. Doesn't really matter anymore, my friend has the black six-toe now. Needed more color variety in the silkie pen.Breeding them would just give you both 6 toed, & 5 toed chicks.
