Don't forget to write a nice thank you note after an interview. It reminds them of which applicant you were, and tells them that you are polite, a self-starter, appreciative, and pay attention to detail.

Have you considered becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant? In our state it's a 3 week course and certification.
They make decent money for the amount of education needed.

i am a cna.chha...but i havent worked since we moved out here, well except for the one time that ended badly.
i wont work in nursing homes ever again though..that was a nightmare that i endured for quite some time until i realized that no matter what i did, there would not be any real tangible difference made unless the entire industry changes..not likely!
but i do love private duty..i did that a few years ago and that was the best job i ever had i think. i only worked part time but got paid full time for doing something i enjoyed doing.
