Resuming laying

Our small group of 4 free range chickens came down with a bout of some intestinal disease about 1 1/2 weeks ago. They stopped laying and have yet to resume although they are much happier and are back to ranging and foraging. How long is it likely to be before they resume laying? I was thinking about another week to regain their own health, but I really have no clue.....Any ideas????

Sorry but, I have no idea. Unless it was a serious illness, I wouldn't think that would put them off laying once, they were well again.

Sorry to hear about the disease they all got! Chickens hate when things disrupt their routines and stress them out. It will probably still take a while for them to resume their laying duties. They must regain their own strength and health before they even dream of laying again. Chickens are picky when it comes to laying and things have to be "perfect" in a sense for them to lay regularly and peacefully. So once they are back to their old selves, I'd guess it may take away where from one week to one month for them to start up again.

The latest developement in the not resuming laying scenario is that they are looking more healthy, but now some of them seem to be molting.....interesting creatures...chickens!!!
