Kinda tells you exactly who violated your privacy, broke the law and went onto your property, again, broke the law by looking into a window on private property. I don't know about you... but I'm back to posting

What about the next door neighbor she was getting water from? Did she mention to them she had and planned to have chickens and geese?

Lots of folks don't like to hear crowing.

Yes, and they were excited to have a chicken neighbor because they themselves have a lovely little flock of Rhode Island reds and black australorps... or maybe they're Jersey giants, I'm not sure because they're still juveniles and only about 4 months old. They themselves have roosters, as well (their lot is >1 acre).

At any rate, when the complaint was made, ONE baby gosling was there and a handful of baby chicks, NO roosters (well, 3-week-old chicks, but those don't really count). There was nothing there crowing, and even the gosling made the most quiet of peeper sounds that you can't hear from the road/outside of her property! And even with the multitude of roosters she has there NOW, you can't even hear them crowing until you walk up the hill and onto her property--with the exception of George, the adorable but completely obnoxious little sebright roo. (She shoulda named him Napoleon.)

Farmer Lew and I are making unannounced, irregularly timed, impromptu visits up to her place during the day while she's at work in Sacramento to see if we can catch anyone messing around on her property.

Maybe she could buy / borrow one of those game cams... that would sure be proof that someone is trespassing.

I hate to think she has to deal with all this but I'd invest a few hundred dollars in one of the surveillance systems from Costco. I use them in my store and have prosecuted with the video from the dvr. You can also log-in from any computer so she could check from work on and off all day and call the police if she see's anything. I think it would be a great deterrent from the neighbors thinking they can roam you're property anytime and you'd have proof to prosecute.

She has a camera system, just hasn't had a chance to install it yet. She's still trying to move in, and this just blind-sided her.

I agree that it's time for a gun, or at the very least, a heavy baseball bat.

ETA: And a rottweiller.

Hope you can get some game cams up,and perhaps add a large dog for personal protection.I have neighbors with huge rottweilers(sp),and I am amazed at their size.

Ugh! I'm going nuts waiting to see if it will all be okay. I can't imgine what she is going through. I keep checking this thread at all hours (good thing I can see it on my phone). Even my husband asks how she is doing now... he has seen me check the site so much and heard me talk about her situation to anyone who will listen.

Please know that supportive good thoughts are being sent Linda's way... give us a GOOD NEWS update soon...

I think everything is going to be fine. Things are calming down now that the initial shock is over. I'm sure she'll update as soon as she can. She's been very busy with work and other stuff lately, as well.

It is an honor to be her friend. She is as nice in person as she is on here. She's the real deal.

I had a rottie. I got her as a rescue at age 6 months. Abbie was the sweetest dog EVER. She was my guardian, walking partner, and companion for the 10 1/2 yrs I had her.

She hung out in the backyard with the bunny Waldo. I'd find her, Waldo, and cat Oscar all laying on the deck together. She never messed with Waldo and I'm sure she would have been great with chickens, ducks if I had them at the time.

She stopped a burgler from going into the house once he broke into my son's bedroom window. She must have barked up a storm on the other side of the bedroom door. The same dude had broken in 5 doors down and got caught trying to cash a check he had stolen from them.

I would love to have another someday.
