Isn’t having chickens in your front yard wonderful? It gives you an up close view on what your bird says do all day, peck at the grass, lounge with the pigs, take a dirt bath or two, sit in a bush- sit in a bush? Yes. My birds have taken up a new hobby of sitting in the bush right next to my front porch. My dad told me yesterday that he saw them there and assumed they were hiding from the storm. Logical. Except for I was walking out to bait my trap because we just lost a meat bird to a raccoon and saw three birds chilling in the bush. One quickly jumped out and ran off to the feeding area but two of my lovely birds looked at me like I was interupting their first class dinner. Why are they awkwardly sitting in a bush, we may never know.

I’d like to update that there’s now a hole in my bush where they roosted all night.
