Hi everyone! Eleven years ago, I was a member of this forum (as Agilityscots) and you all helped me get my first four hens. I learned so much from everyone that now that I'm ready to get chickens again (in 2008 I divorced, gave away my hens and moved into the city, remarried and now have two little boys!), I'm back and ready to keep learning!

Our four chicks (2 Buff Orps, 1 Australorp and a Speckled Sussex) arrive April 2, and my husband and I are in the process of deciding whether to build a coop or convert our shed. I'm going to ask for advice in the Coop design section....

Looking forward to getting to know you all and continuing to learn!

Welcome back! So glad that life took a turn for the better for you! I'm sure your two little boys (and maybe the grown up boy) will love having the chickens, maybe even as much as you will! ;) Hope you'll share some pics and updates along your journey! By all means make yourself back at home! If you're going to start a coop build from scratch, you should consider a Woods style coop. They are awesome in cold climates.

Hi and welcome back Amy!

Lovely to read that you have been able to get back into chicken keeping :clap Good luck with your new chicks when they arrive and with your coop build or conversion.

Enjoy being back and all the chicken chat :frow
