Hi y'all! I'm so excited to be back in the Backyard Chickens Community. I was a member in the past but after I lost my entire flock I deactivated my account. Now, several years later, I'm purchasing my new flock and I'm beyond happy to get back into the hobby.

My username is inspired from a rooster I once had, I raised him from a chick and I mistook him for a 'her'; so long story short we had a beautiful rooster named Martha.

A quick background: I'm from rural Kentucky, I have a husband, two dogs, a cat, and I'm about to have 25 new chicks arriving any day now. Some of our other hobbies include camping, gardening, and helping take care of my in-laws cattle.

I would love to meet new people and learn much from everyone on this forum. I guess that's good enough for now? Happy Chicken Keeping Everyone!

Thank you we are really excited about having chickens again! We ordered a little bit of everything, some of my favorites that were getting are Black Giants, Marans, Easter Eggers, Speckled Sussex, and my personal favorite the Phoenix. I love having variety to my flock so we basically ordered one of almost everything they had!
