Reverse coloring?

This came out of a ladies hatchery chicks. It was the only one that looked like this out of a set of 25 silver laced wyandottes. Can reverse coloring happen or is it a different breed?

from what i can tell it is either a mutt or the baby down is jsut odd and will turn out normal

who did you order from?

look through and look at all the babies and see if it resembles any

No the lady said that they were all girls. She was just too cool looking not to grab.

She ordered from Hoover hatchery in Iowa.
Think it could really be a mutt? I thought hatcheries were good about keeping them separate. I never even thought about her feathering out different from the down. Looking forward to seeing what happens though!

They do seem to be good at keeping the breeds from interbreeding, but they aren't good at culling to maintain quality.

Could just be a different shaded baby. Update when she grows up!
