Rhea with sack of liquid on neck

The female Rhea died yesterday. Her crop was full of a blood looking liquid that gushed out everywhere. I found a ball of stuff, not sure what it is but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be there. It is about the size of a shooter marble
 
I think I cut open the esophagus and crop, I don't know the anatomy of poultry necks too well. I'm guessing it is a parasite but not completely sureedit: the pictures might need to be blurred or tagged nsfw, but not sure how to do so
