Rhetorical ¿(an opportunity for the hens to get their anger out)

Why is the man standing in the middle of the forest speaking?

Is he answering himself? Is he dumb enough to come home and admit that he was standing out there talking to himself? Why wasn't he doing something more productive? Did he bring home the milk like I told him to? Why didn't he pick some flowers for me while he was out there?

There are lots more questions that need to be answered!
